Carnival cruise line has been in the news with regards to cruises from Galveston more than once this month. First, Carnival announced the addition of a new ship sailing from Galveston and second, they announced the option for longer voyages.
For those who are looking for a vacation that is longer than the typical 4, 5, or 7 day cruise, Carnival is now offering 10, 11, and 21 night options that will depart from Galveston. The Carnival Triumph will begin offering 10 and 11 night sailings in October 2015. The ship can accommodate 2,975 passengers.
One unique thing about these sailings is they are one way and the ports do not repeat between to two cruises. This means that those with the option of taking a long vacation can enjoy a 21 night cruise that includes visits to a dozen Caribbean destinations and none of those ports will be visited twice.
The Carnival Triumph will travel between Galveston, Texas and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Here is the breakdown of the two trips.
• 11 night trip from Galveston to San Juan with ports of Grand Cayman, Aruba, Bonaire, Grenada, Martinique and St. Maarten.
• 10 night trip from San Juan to Galveston with ports of St. Thomas, St. Kits, St. Maarten, Antigua, Grand Turk, and Half Moon Cay (Carnival’s private island in the Bahamas).
Note that these itineraries include stops at less frequently visited ports such as Bonaire and Antigua. If you have the vacation time, consider taking the 21 night cruise which will allow you to see a dozen Caribbean ports of call and really enjoy a relaxing vacation on a fantastic Carnival ship. It truly will be the vacation of a lifetime. Contact us if you are looking for more information or if we can help you with your cruise parking needs in Galveston.
