It isn’t just a new year, it’s a new addition to Galveston cruises from Royal Caribbean International. The Port of Galveston announced earlier this year that Royal Caribbean International was making Galveston the home port for their Voyager class ship “Navigator of the Seas” and shortly after it’s arrival in November, the ship will spend several weeks in dry dock undergoing a remodel that will install the latest upgrades and be ready to offer 7 day Caribbean cruises starting in February 2014.
So what are Santa’s elves busily installing in the Navigator of the Seas? “Virtual Balconies”: an 80 inch LED high definition screen that brings a floor to ceiling real-time view of the ocean and the destinations to interior staterooms. The panel can be turned on or off as you wish and are available in port as well as during the cruise.
In addition, the ship will be offering: staterooms with floor to ceiling windows, two new dining facilities and a new lounge, a surf simulator called “Flowrider”, flat panel televisions in the staterooms and digital wayfinders. Remember, these are just the highlights of the new additions that will be added to all of the other amenities and services of a Voyager class ship that are described in further detail at the Royal Caribbean website.
Now may be a good time to plan that special Valentine cruise and be among the first passengers to enjoy all the new improvements. In fact, what a great holiday gift a cruise package would make.
